MSPEI Membership Dues 2017
Why do you need a Membership with the MSPEI? As a physician licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI (Full or Provisional category), membership in the MSPEI is required as a condition of the Medical Act.
Although membership is required, the goal of MSPEI is to ensure that membership is valued and that benefits are understood and accessible. Member services include programs funded through the PEI Master Agreement (the contract between the Government of PEI, Health PEI and MSPEI) and include the following programs: CME Supplementary Funding Program, CMPA Assistance, Maternity/Paternity Leave, and a Physician Health Program. With the support of various partners, MSPEI also offers assistance in financial planning and life, home and auto insurance.
To keep you abreast of these services and other matters of importance and interest, members receive monthly electronic newsletters. The Member Update includes current events, benefits, educational opportunities and monthly President and CEO letters.
The MSPEI fee includes the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) fee, MSPEI's conjoint status with the CMA provides access to additional benefits and services. CMA benefits are provided online: https://www.cma.ca/En/Pages/member-benefits.aspx.
MSPEI Office Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
