The prorogation of Parliament and the likelihood of a spring federal election have put the issue of the capital gains inclusion rate increase – and its impact on community-based physicians – back in the spotlight. Though it’s increasingly unlikely that the legislation will come to a vote, the Canada Revenue Agency continues to collect taxes on capital gains from medical corporations at the higher inclusion rate.
