To support community-based physicians transitioning to electronic medical records (EMR), MSPEI will provide eligible members with funding to hire data entry clerks to input patient data into the new provincial Telus CHR.
MSPEI members scheduled to implement an EMR may apply for an up to $1,000 fund to support hiring a data entry support person to enter patient records into the EMR. This funding is from a CMA Affinity fund provided by CMA, MD Management and Scotiabank. The fund is intended to support the overall health and well-being of our members. The Data Entry Funding is designed to help physicians transition to an EMR efficiently, while reducing the stress and burden where possible.
This program is being launched as a pilot and is subject to change.

- Access to a qualified medical data entry specialist who has been or is scheduled to be trained on the provincial EMR.

Physicians are expected to provide oversight of the quality of the data entry.

Each physician will be eligible for up to $1,000 reimbursement. Must be able to demonstrate payment was made in full to data entry specialist.
Reimbursement Process
