Prince Edward Island (PEI) has many physician opportunities in a variety of areas with competitive financial incentives. Family Medicine Opportunities are available across PEI in urban and rural centres with flexible pay structures. All persons who intend to practise medicine in Prince Edward Island must be registered and licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island (Medical Act 1988). A “written expression of interest” or “job offer” from the government is required to apply to the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Prince Edward Island OR you must hold a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Canadian Certification (CFPC, RCPSC).

Pro-rated Dues

New and rejoining members between January 1 and March 31 will pay the full annual membership fee. Pro-rated fees are available between April 1 – December 31 based on your confirmed start date.

Mail:

  • Make cheque payable to the Medical Society of PEI.
  • Mail to: Medical Society of PEI, 2 Myrtle Street, Stratford, PE, C1B 2W2.

Please leave a call back number if you receive our voicemail, as we will not be accepting credit card payments by voicemail or email.

Email Transfer:

  • Send an email transfer to finance@mspei.org via your online banking
  • Once your email transfer has been sent, please send the applicable password to admin@mspei.org

In-Person:

  • Options to pay in person include cheque, debit and credit card.
  • Visit the MSPEI office during regular office hours.

Dues Refund:

MSPEI membership fees (or a prorated amount) are non-refundable. The amount due is an annual fee, and should not be treated as a monthly subscription. Once a member’s annual fees are paid, they are members for that year.

MSPEI office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday.

2019 Receipt and Membership Card:

We will issue a receipt by email upon receiving your membership dues in full. MSPEI membership cards are available by request.

Late Payment:

Failure to pay your dues will result in MSPEI notifying the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI (CPSPEI), as per the Medical Act, Part III, Section 25, and the CPSPEI Regulations, Section IX.
