enhanced leadership and personal growth

strengthened knowledge and skills to solve problems and influence positive change
improvement in participants' belief they have the skills needed to be effective in a changing healthcare landscape, and
improvement in participants' belief they have the knowledge and skills to influence positive change in the healthcare system in PEI.
The 2023–24 accredited Leadership Development Program was uniquely designed to bring physicians and health system leaders together to learn side-by-side, reflecting the collaborative nature of working and leading in PEI. The program focused on key areas such as navigating complex environments, strengthening intra-professional culture and communication, change leadership, inclusive and trauma-informed practices, and financial acumen. In March 2024, 32 participants graduated from the program—19 physicians and 13 health administrative leaders—demonstrating the impact of shared learning on fostering unified leadership.
And thank you to the MSPEI team who contributed to the program, to our sponsors the Canadian Medical Association, MD Financial Management Inc. and Scotiabank, and especially to the program graduates!
